mac demarco song on played in my car and made me cry because it reminded me of in 7th grade i got sent to a ward for being Ahem. depressed. and as i was in the office sobbing because i didnt want them to tell my parents because i was so scared i was gonna be in trouble (spoiler alert. i was) but then my science teacher was like It will be ok. when you get back i will be here and if you need to talk to someone whos gone through that stuff you can come talk to me and i started crying harder because then i was Emotionally Moved by his kindness and cried a lot. Just reminded me of that time in my life because i listened to so much demarco so i started crying in the car

#And it was kinda fucked because i was like 9 with depression and bad mood swings and begging my parents to do something#So it is not like they did not know. I love my mama and my mama wasnt mad. but my step dad said some nasty things!#My science teacher did that during a class too. like had to have stopped class to come see me and tell me itd be ok. I will cry again

My local community college is like "you don't necessarily need a degree for everything! We offer certificates for working adults that get you just the necessary classes so you can level up in the workplace!" And im like so can i get a spanish certificate? And they're like "no! Only spanish degree!" And im like ok. what is necessary for the spanish degree. And they are like "you need 51 credits in assorted random classes. And then 9 credits of spanish."
Like. Come on man.
#chit chat#i might be able to just take the classes by themselves but like. why do i have to get english math philosophy and science classes#(in english)#for a spanish degree#like ok when i was getting a french translation degree i had to take a bunch of french culture classes. that makes sense.#but fucking???? i don't need liberal arts courses???#if i had to take them in spanish maybe i could understand??? but it's just random classes???#why can't i have a spanish certificate#and granted i could probably opt out of 90% of these classes because i already have a degree and i took these classes already#but. you could just take the 9 spanish credits. and give me a fucking certificate.

17: Someone you miss
Thanks for the ask, anon! The first person to come to mind is my highschool best friend. We met in Year 8 (we were both twelve) and were friends for years. I still remember the day we met, and the only spare seat in the room was next to me. We got talking, realised we were both into cars and videogames, and the rest was history. We were polar opposites: he was decently popular, sporty and outgoing, with bright red hair, and I was quiet, studious and often bullied. Despite our differences, he always tried to include and make time for me, and always made sure that other people knew our friendship was special to him. He beat a guy up for me once, and I found out from someone else because 'he didn't want me to think he was solving my problems for me.'
At the time, I was just starting to come to grips with my attraction to guys, and surprise surprise, he was the first guy I kinda locked onto. I didn't really understand it at first: why I was so desperate to make him laugh and smile, why I made excuses to hang out with him all the time, why my glances kept straying to him in the PE changing rooms. Growing up in single-sex education in rural New Zealand was the opposite of a comfortable environment to be queer in, and I didn't even know what the hell bisexuality was. We're just really close mates, I told myself. Practically brothers. I probably loved him more than my own brother.
Sadly, we both moved away at the start of Year 11 - I went off to the UK when my parents had enough of me coming home black-and-blue, and he got sent off to boarding school after his mum died and his dad decided he couldn't cope with his sons in the house. He got into drugs and drink to deal with the loneliness. I lost count of the amount of times I'd VC with him on Discord for hours at a time, playing online games and having deep chats, trying to make sure he had someone on his side (even if I was on the other side of the planet).
Last I heard, he's sober and moved to a new town down in southern New Zealand at a new job. We don't talk very much anymore and I regret that. I think you always do with your greatest friends, and it didn't help that he was technically my 'closet key.' But it's whatever. We love people, we lose them, life goes on. At least I got some great stories and memories out of it.
#about myself#personal#life stuff#yeah our last text was last month#I still have the computer mouse he gave me in Year 9 science class#every time I look at it I remember his smile and laugh#I wish he knew how much those years meant to me

heard a song that reminded me of a video i watched when i was 12 and then that reminded me of being 12 which reminded me of being 13 and then i listened to music i liked when i was 13 which reminded me of one of the biggest things that happened to me when i was 13 which was that i was in love with marvin the martian and tbh 12 years later not much has changed
#year 8 was truly the school year ever#year 7 was too ''i'm new and have no idea what's going on'' and also#there weren't any defined friendship groups yet bc no one properly knew each other so like if there was drama in the class it somehow#involved everyone. or was that just my class. idek 12 year old drama is so funny#but yeah then year 9 had the looming gcse threats from teachers (dgmw i loved year 9 though)#and then year 10 and 11 were like. the serious years (again though i actually loved year 11 lol. year 10 was the worst though)#but year 8 is just. fucking around. nothing matters in year 8#the whole purpose of year 8 is to see how many dicks you can draw on the table and in your school pplanner. nothing else#ugh why am i romanticising school. it's fine though year 8 is different#i remember once a golden retriever managed to get into the school and was just running around the field#and we were all in a science lesson and no one was listening bc like????? there was a happy dog outside??#and one of the pe teachers was holding him from running away and he was just smiling#literally the best thing that has ever happened. this is unrelated i just wanted to talk about a golden retriever#although tbf it did happen when i was in year 8 so it's relevant#anyway i need to go rb pics of marvin the martian and wish i could stay 13 forever#ramble

How NCERT Simplifies Complex Concepts for Students

The NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) books have long been hailed as a cornerstone of India’s educational system. Renowned for their simplicity, depth, and alignment with the school curriculum, NCERT books cater to students of all grades. Their ability to distill intricate topics into easily understandable formats is one of the primary reasons they are preferred by students, teachers, and parents alike. With the rise of digital learning, the availability of NCERT book PDFs has further enhanced accessibility, enabling students to learn on the go.
In this article, we delve into the various ways NCERT books simplify complex concepts for students and explore why their PDF versions are becoming an indispensable resource for modern learners.
1. Clear and Concise Language
One of the standout features of NCERT books is their use of straightforward and concise language. The content is designed to cater to students from diverse linguistic backgrounds, ensuring inclusivity. Technical terms are clearly explained, and complex concepts are broken down into smaller, manageable sections.
For instance, in subjects like science or mathematics, NCERT books often introduce a concept with simple examples before diving into the theoretical or technical aspects. This step-by-step approach ensures that students grasp the fundamentals without feeling overwhelmed.
2. Visual Aids and Illustrations
NCERT books extensively use diagrams, charts, and illustrations to simplify topics. These visual aids not only enhance understanding but also make learning more engaging. For example, in biology, diagrams of plant cells or the human digestive system provide students with a clear visual representation, aiding memory retention.
In NCERT book PDFs, these illustrations are of high quality, allowing students to zoom in for a closer look and study the details. This feature proves particularly helpful for subjects that rely heavily on diagrams, such as physics, chemistry, and biology.
3. Systematic Presentation of Content
The content in NCERT books is meticulously organized, following a logical sequence. Each chapter begins with an introduction, followed by the main content divided into sections, and concludes with a summary. This structure ensures that students can navigate through the material with ease.
Additionally, chapters often include “Did You Know?” sections and real-world applications of the concepts being taught. These elements not only pique students’ curiosity but also help them connect theoretical knowledge with practical scenarios.
4. Comprehensive Exercises and Activities
NCERT books include a variety of exercises at the end of each chapter, ranging from objective questions to descriptive ones. These exercises are designed to test students’ understanding of the topic comprehensively.
Furthermore, NCERT books often include hands-on activities and experiments, particularly in science subjects, encouraging experiential learning. By conducting these activities, students gain a deeper understanding of concepts through practical application.
5. Aligned with Examination Patterns
NCERT books are closely aligned with the syllabus prescribed by CBSE and other state boards. The content is curated to meet the requirements of school examinations as well as competitive exams like JEE, NEET, and UPSC. This alignment ensures that students do not need to rely heavily on supplementary materials.
For students preparing for these exams, the NCERT book PDFs are a boon. They can easily search for specific topics, bookmark important sections, and revise efficiently.
6. Incorporation of Real-Life Examples
Another way NCERT simplifies complex concepts is by incorporating real-life examples into the narrative. For instance, in social science subjects, historical events are explained through stories and anecdotes, making them more relatable. Similarly, in mathematics, problems often revolve around everyday scenarios, such as calculating distances, areas, or financial transactions.
This contextual approach helps students understand the practical applications of what they learn, making education more meaningful.
7. Focus on Conceptual Clarity
Rather than encouraging rote learning, NCERT books emphasize conceptual clarity. The questions and exercises are framed to test understanding rather than memorization. For example, higher-order thinking questions challenge students to apply their knowledge in novel ways.
By studying NCERT books, students build a strong foundation, which is crucial for tackling advanced concepts in higher studies.
8. Free Availability of NCERT Book PDFs
The availability of NCERT book PDFs has revolutionized the way students access educational material. These PDFs are freely available on the official NCERT website, making quality education accessible to all.
Students can download these PDFs on their devices and study anytime, anywhere. This is particularly beneficial for those in remote areas or those who cannot afford physical textbooks. The digital format also allows for interactive learning, with students using tools like highlighting, annotations, and hyperlinks for better comprehension.
Conclusion
NCERT books have successfully simplified the process of learning by presenting complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner. Their clear language, use of visuals, systematic presentation, and focus on conceptual clarity make them an ideal resource for students of all grades.
With the added convenience of NCERT book PDFs, these textbooks have become even more versatile, catering to the needs of modern learners. By leveraging these resources, students can not only excel academically but also develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
In a world where education is increasingly digital, NCERT books and their PDF versions stand as a testament to the power of simplicity and accessibility in learning.
